I never thought this day would come

So, for those of you who don't know, Naisha has come to live with us (again). This morning I walked her to the bus stop and I asked her if she would be embarrassed if I waited with her. She replied "No, I am really scared, I want to stay with me". Okay, I guess I am cooler than I thought...until I got to the bus stop. While waiting with Naisha and the other middle schoolers, I realized how old I really was. Dressed in my sweatshirt and sweatpants looking like I had just awakened, I suddenly became shockingly self conscious. I felt like one of those moms that patrolled the bus stop threatening to tell parents on anyone who said a cuss word. as the bus pulled up to the stop, I found myself yelling instructions for Naisha as she boarded. I can't believe it has come to this.

next time put rollers in your hair and then walk her to the bus stop. You could also add some slippers and one of those moomoos when the weather gets warmer.

That is so funny! Don't worry, I think you could take any of those little middle schoolers with your cool kickboxing moves if they laugh at you! Check out our blog when you get a chance chriserincox.blogspot.com

I have one of "those moms" at my bus stop and no, you are not one of them. I am laughing at the thought of that though. You're cute.

oh my dear poor Rosemay. You know it was inevitable. you had to start growing up someday. Although in your case I think you may only experience a few grown up moments instead of growing up but that's one of the things I love about you. How have you been? I can't believe you've been gone a year! Cara said you might be coming back. keep in touch.
